Sub-Miniature Lamps

For backlighting information and entertainment displays

Bent lamps with fewer lamp-ends improve efficiency of liquid crystal displays. Fluorescent lamp-ends consume valuable power, generate heat, and cause shadows. They require lamp holders and must be concealed. One U-lamp can replace two straight lamps, eliminate two lamp-ends, and provide the same amount of light with less wattage. There is less wiring as well as fewer dark ends and lamp connectors to be hidden.

These benefits increase proportionately with multiple-bend lamps. Ballast design and dimming circuitry is simplified with fewer lamps and the display area can be made larger in comparison to the overall case size.

Sub-miniature fluorescent lamps are engineered and manufactured with the most advanced state-of-art technology. In addition to being able to supply custom designed bent lamps and standard straight replacement lamps for all popular laptop computers, LCD Lighting is able to provide almost all replacement wiring harnesses, connectors, heaters, and heater assemblies. (See Lamp Sub-Assemblies)

LCD Lighting also manufactures miniature fluorescent lamps for backlighting liquid crystal displays in numerous commercial, civil, military, and space avionics information systems. Custom phosphor blending is available in a full spectrum of colors can be provided for almost any chromatic requirement. Designs include wide environmental, electrical and dimming characteristics. The company also supplies wiring harness, connectors, heaters, heater assemblies, and backlight housings. (See Lamp Sub-Assemblies)
